Murder at McSweeney’s
opening February 7th!
Four actresses come into McSweeney’s Dinner theatre to audition for the role of Marilyn Monroe in a biographical dinner theatre show. Only one can be picked.

After Dave chooses the one he wants, he is “mysteriously” murdered along with the actress that was picked.

After a kerfuffle some quirky cops come in and find that they have more on their agenda than just solving the mystery!!

Preseason sale on tickets will be the week of February 3rd to the 7th, 2025. We will be open for Valentine night as well, so book your seats as soon as possible.

THE CAST
MIRREN LITHWICK

Mirren is a local human being and certified fruitcake returning to McSweeney's for an 8th show... Or is it 9th?

We've lost count at this point.

Mirren has been performing on (and off) stage since age 5. When not haunting theatres, the wild Mirren can be found playing video games, writing music, knitting, spontaneously rearranging furniture, hooking rugs, reading voraciously, cuddling cats, kvetching, and doodling in the margins of scripts.

Hello… I am Dave. I wrote the show, then I directed it. But that’s nothing new. I've been with McSweeney’s for 10 years. What’s new with you?

Eva Luca
EVA LUCAS

Eva is a multidisciplinary theatre creator and human being who tries their best. She is so honoured to return to McSweeney's for her fifth show!

When she's not trying to steal the spotlight as Claudette, Eva has the privilege of working with theatre companies in the Tantramar area as a performer, administrator and youth programming director. Eva is also a newly-produced playwright, a midnight radio show host, a ferocious Dungeons and Dragons player, and an avid lover of clowning around. Enjoy the show!

REBECCA MCCABE



Better known as cast mom, Becca she has been working for the company since 2019. A wench by day, she has always loved performing arts and has found a little home here at McSweeney's.

As a sci-fi fantasy enthusiast, she dabbles in various hobbies and loves playing dress up. You can find her jamming with The Vault , hanging out with her family and pets, or spending time with her dear friends. She's just a girl who loves existing on planet earth.

JANE BUTLER

Jane has returned from her six-month hiatus of trying to complete university and going to Disneyworld to rock the house down as Sharon!

Jane is absolutely thrilled and honoured to be back at McSweeney's, for her fourth show, and would like to thank the cast and her bestie Sam.

Outside of McSweeney's, Jane has had the privilege of being involved in shows across the Maritimes with companies such as Live Bait Theatre, The Motyer-Fancy Theatre, Festival by the Marsh, Mad as Hops Productions, and more.

Offstage, Jane can be found pin-trading, drinking Coca-Cola, and tending to their many pets. Enjoy the show!

JENNIE DEL MOTTE

Jennie is a classically-trained singer, pianist, and director, who has spent the past 25 years working as a musician and performer throughout the Maritimes, with a focus on musicals and new Canadian theatre.

Jennie makes her home in Sackville, NB where she teaches and performs at Mount Allison University as well as the Atlantic Ballet, and spends quality time with her partner, cats, puppy, and awesome kid. She hopes you enjoy the "big reveal"!
